A Symphony of Love: Rob and Lauren's Intimate Vinyl-Inspired Wedding Day at Cellar 52

Lauren + Rob : Cellar 52 - St. Jacobs, ON

In an industry where grandeur often takes centre stage, there's something truly magical about an intimate wedding celebration that focuses on the essence of love. Rob and Lauren carefully curated their guest list, inviting only their closest friends and family members. The intimate gathering allowed for genuine connections and meaningful conversations, making the day truly special for everyone present. The shared joy and love among the guests created an atmosphere that was both incredibly warm and inviting.

The Venue:

Lauren + Rob chose the MOST cozy venue nestled in the heart of St.Jacobs, creating an intimate atmosphere that echoed their deep connection. This venue felt like a warm Sunday morning that embraces you with a sense of comfort and ease (Lets not forget the SMELL). I was instantly welcomed into this space with the most amazing aroma coming from their personalized Cellar 52 candles (If you know, you know) and an abundance of warm and cozy fireplaces. Lauren and Rob spent their morning only steps away from each other in their own getting ready suites, preparing for the big "I do". The atmosphere was overflowing with a vibrant, joyful, loving, “let’s do this thing” kind of energy. I spent my morning thoughtfully curating flat lays and details while bouncing between Lauren and Rob to capture those sweet, serene getting ready moments. We laughed, we hugged, we tied ties and zipped up dresses. The morning was full of magic that reminds me why I do what I do.

 The Vinyl Experience:

One of the most unique aspects of Rob and Lauren's wedding was their love for vinyl records. The couple, avid collectors of record albums, decided to incorporate this passion into their big day. As guests arrived, they were greeted by the sight of  records (hand painted by Lauren + Rob) displayed as part of the decor. The records served as both a nod to the couple's shared interests and a conversation starter, allowing guests to connect over the music that defined Rob and Lauren's journey together. This was my personal favourite detail of the day!

 The Ceremony:

The ceremony itself was a heartfelt exchange of vows and  laughter shared between Lauren, Rob and their closest family and friends (Let's not forget Jakes incredible rendition of The Princess Bride reading).  Cellar 52's fireplace, casting a soft glow, served as the focal point, symbolizing the warmth and passion shared between these two. The ceremony unfolded with an intimacy that could only be captured in such a setting. Lauren and Rob took time before their wedding to write the most special and unique vows together. They shared the sweetest words on all the hopes and promises they have for each other as a married couple. This perfectly executed ceremony was such an integral part of a day that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Memorable Moment:

I have been so lucky to get to know Lauren and Rob not only over the course of their wedding planning journey but through the many other milestones they have invited me to capture. They are clients who quickly turned into friends I feel like I've known forever. I just KNEW this day was going to be nothing short of fun, relaxed and unforgettable. My favourite moment was when it came time to do their flash portraits (Flash portraits: when we sneak off during the reception for some more fun, trendy, creative shots). We knew we couldn't finish the night without utilizing Hotel 52s electric space and decor. I looked at Lauren and Rob and said "....Wanna go jump on your bed?" to which they responded "Um, YES". This was such a fun and intimate moment filled with feathers, champagne and a whole lotta love.

 In Conclusion:

From the intimate ceremony to the lively reception, every moment of Rob and Lauren's wedding day was filled with love and laughter. The dance floor echoed with the joyous rhythm of friends and family coming together, creating memories that would be cherished for a lifetime. Their wedding day was a testament to the beauty of simplicity and the power of genuine connections. In a world often defined by grand gestures, Rob and Lauren proved that sometimes, the most profound moments are found in the simplicity of love.
